Laying the Groundwork
Every summer begins the same way: we step back from heavy lifting and sport-specific luge work to focus entirely on reconditioning the body. The first month is all about building cardiovascular endurance through circuit-style training—arguably the toughest phase of the year, but one that lays the foundation for everything that follows.

        Training Structure
Our summer training is structured in four-week blocks. Each week varies in intensity, and each block builds on the last to support steady progress across the summer. We kicked off Block One on May 5th, and this week marks the start of Block Two. So far, I'm feeling strong and encouraged by the progress.
Target Areas for Growth
Every season presents its own challenges, and summer is the time to address them. As I've evaluated my performance, I've set a few key focus areas:
- Improving hip mobility
- Reducing over-reliance on traps and upper body
- Maximizing engagement of my back muscles
While those are specific goals, the core objectives always stay the same: get strong, get powerful, and build a fast start.
Looking Ahead
It's still early in the off-season, and there's a long road ahead—but I'm optimistic and motivated for what's to come.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support—it truly drives me forward. I'll be sharing more updates here as important milestones unfold throughout the summer, stay tuned!
